ABout help needed in project

I am a B tech student and my final year project is "MOVING MESSAGE DISPLAY IMPLEMENTED IN FPGA KIT IN VHDL LANGUAGE ".
sir i need to design a dot matrix display which will be connected to fpga kit to take the input .So what provision should we make .
and further a code in vhdl language will be required for moving message .
So please sir if u can help me out or give some important information

your kit doesnt have any display?

My project is like below ....
The main aim of the project is to display moving message or scrolling message
So i will need a VHDL code for that and i will burn the same code in FPGA (spartan 3 kit ) kit .Then the input of the display device will be taken from FPGA kit .
The display device here used is DOT MATRIX display preferrabaly small in size required for the demo of the project .
