Hi, a small utility can quickly scan your big gds file, extract the basic information, build up a logical hierachycal map for your gds file. nice tool.

You may also want to check out StreamVista from Semigy Designs. This program is a gds2 viewer for windows. In addition to standard viewing of gds files, it allows you to view the cell heirarchy and get other info about the gds file.
