hello all,

In defining the the Electric field or the potential difference why is the term "Unit positive charge" used?
i.e. The electric field is the electrostatic force on a unit positive charge. and
The work done in moving a unit positive charge from one point to another in static field is called the potential difference.
why the emphasis is given on a "positive" since the charge we consider is an electron with a negative charge..!!

The work done in moving a unit positive charge from one point to another in static field is called the potential difference. thats why it is called Unit positive charge....
