I have designed a simple mic amplifier with 741 op-amp.
I have connected the mic directly as its input.
Now, even without any sound, the output is about 3V. (This voltage is varied by using a POT as we use it for offset voltage compensation)
BUT, what I need is that the output should be 0V without any input sound and it should be either about 3V or even more, when any sound is given.
Right now, the voltage change when I give any input sound is just about som 100mV to 500mV.

My main need: Output = 0V without any sound.
output >=2V or 3V with even slight sounds.

Please help me with a proper circuit for this. Thanks in advance.

plz connect mic through a capacitor of 1uf. b'coz of offeset potential ,u have got 3v. plz null offeset vaoltage .calibtrate. chage the pot value of 10k connected between 1 and 5. then try.
