8X8 Keypad and LCD Interface with 8051 !

Hi all,
I want to interface 8X8 keypad to an micro-controller(8051). Just like 64 INPUTS.
Column P1.0-P1.7
Row P3.0-P3.7

16*2 LCD Interface should be done in order to display the numeric value of the switch assigned.
Can anyone help me out.
LCD DATA P.0-P0.7
RS: P2.7
RW2.6
EN: P2.5

Santosh,

Due to 8x8 Keyboard to be not an usual configuration, I can sugest you take some example code project with 4x4 + LCD and extend it.

Doesn't matter if its 4x3 or if its 8x8 matrix keypad the concept is the same. Check this link for algo of 4x3 matrix keypad interfacing: 500 - Error: 500
Check this link for 8051 code of 4x3 matrix keypad interfacing: 500 - Error: 500

for 16*2 lcd interfacing: 500 - Error: 500
and
500 - Error: 500

Now i have interfaced the 4X4 keypad..
Now i need to interface with the LCD using 'C' code.
The function goes like this:
When ever an switch is pressed the number should be displayed on the left hand corner of the LCD module and when the second switch is pressed the first number displayed should be shifted left and the new number pressed should be displayed..

Please help me in some web addr or coding...
