Hi Guys,

From the 400v DC, 80W o/p source I want to measure the power whether it provides the accurate 80W. How can I test it. is it possible with multimeter or any other technique.

yes u can do it via multimeter,

Power = volt x current

put a load of 0.2 Amps on the source & read the voltage across the load
e.g
power = 0.2 x 400
power = 80w

Dear if u don't have any load of 0.2A then u can connect a resistance of 2kohm at the output side for the purpose of 0.2A load.
But resistance should not be less than of 80W.

Thnaks & Regards

P = V x I
P = V² x R
R = V² / p
= 400² / 80
R = 2kΩ

Use R = 2kΩ , 80w ++
