Contrast pin needs to be connected through 10K preset 2. In 4 bit mode you need to connect pin D4 through D7 of lcd to micro, But i cant see D4, D5 connected to micro. Instead D0 and D1 connected to micro Google you can find a lot of circuits and example codes
