7 segment display should increase the count by the push butt

Sir,

I need to know whether it is possible to control a 7 segment display with a push button and without programming. My requirement is......
when I press a button the counter should start reading from 0 to 9 & when we push another button it should decrease from 9 to 0.

Please sir, if u can provide me with the circuit i shall be very helpful.

Hi

Yes , you can do that using standard 74HCxxx logic IC - but in today technology i wouldn't recommend this way - it is much easy to do that using simple microcontroller
like 8051,PIC16xx,AVR - or even a small CPLD
