Hello guys
in a machine i have 6 inverters with speed control so i need to adjust each one seperately but finally i need to control the whole speed of the machine
i mean how i can adjust the 6 potentometers with one after setting the 6 ?

Hi,

If you have six motors in a line driving the same load on a mechanically fixed system,
then usually one inverter acts as master. It's input as setpoint is "speed".
It needs an output proportional to "torque" ( or current)

All other inverters need to be setup as torque control, their input is the torque signal from the master.

You need inverters that are capable doing this.

thx Mr i thought tht its my first time i use inverters would u plz guide me on this?
im using 4 telemeqanique altivar 11 & 1 delta Vfd-m & 1 eura drive 1000
its an old inverters & i've just downloaded the manuals & set it
what i must look for this toque ?
i have 6 different speed motors which i set each one with 1 potentometer
so i can connect its reference voltage to the master inverter so i set each one seperately then control the machine speed with the master inverter potentometer ?

Thx Klaus

Hi,

If you have six motors in a line driving the same load on a mechanically fixed system
do you have this configuration?

please give more mechanical details on your application.

Klaus

Hello Klaus
Sorry i was little bit busy with something else & now im fully free for this inverter problem
my machine has 6 invereters controlling 6 mototrs but not the same load i think
its a machine of something like bakery
anyway i have 4 telemecanique alivar 11 & 1 eura drives 1000 & 1 delta Vfd
do u think i can use the external 10v option to control the 6 different inverters with extra potentiometer ?
& as i see i guess my inverters doesnt support this feature so i need to make some triks
any idea will b appriciated
Thx

Hi,

the 6 motors control 6 independent belts ( and not one large belt).
if so, then forget about master and slave.

Maybe then it´s better to run the first belt with a controlable speed and the next one maybe 2% more...and the nxt one again 2% more...

if you want precice RPM then you must go for servo drive or other speed metering of each motor.

Klaus

thx Klaus
no need for precise speed anyway i'll inform you with anything i do this few days

Hello Klaus
Thx for ur attention
i've used an external 10v regulator with potentiometer & i've connected the output to the input of the 6 inverters & connected the 6 GND all together
my prblem was solved
so now when i set the master regulator to max i can set the 6 potentiometers to the max desired speed of the machine & then i can increase the whole machine speed with the master one
