Can someone please instruct me on how to build such a simple circuit? (I need a 52VA AC to 9V DC for a certain model I've been asked to build; I have a 52VA AC transformer, and the output needs to be identical to that of a 9V battery) I need help with deciding on what radial capacitor to use, what resistors to connect and how, help with installing the diode bridge etc.

Simple circuit layouts will be most welcome.

Thanks in advance, Earl.

What is the actual measured AC output voltage of the transformer with no load? How much current, at 9VDC, does your "model" draw? Does the transformer's secondary have two, or three wire?

Ken

The actual measured AC Voltage is 16V. I do not know how much current the circuit will draw, since it's yet to be built from specs that do not indicate its drawn current. If I'm not mistaken, the transformer has 2 wires on its secondary.

Earl.
