500W CCM Boost PFC (with SiC diode) in Deep CCM, or "shallow" CCM?

Hi,
Do you agree that once you have elected to use CCM for a ~500W, 240VAC, Boost PFC stage…and you have already decided to use a SiC diode…then you may aswell design it to operate in deep CCM?

(instead of “shallow” CCM which is almost DCM)

…since you are not going to get any less reverse recovery if you design it to be in shallow DCM. (ie with a much lower FET_TURN_ON current level)
 

20 -40 % Ipp ripple is usually the sweet spot ...
