32 kHz crystal

I am in need of a 32 kHz crystal oscillator for my hobby circuit to use with a bread-board (clip-on board). Please advice the part number for a suitable crystal.

32 kHz crystal

You can use the one in the general alarm clock.

Re: 32 kHz crystal

Hi,

32k clock crystals are very common, and you get them at most places - simply ask for a 32k clock crystal, you also need two 22pf capactitors to go with the crystal.

Using any crystal on a breadboard is not a very good idea as you have a good chance of the crystals very low signal being lost in the relativley poor connectors of the breadboard.
If possible, carefully solder the crystal and caps direct to the part using them; keeping the leads as short as possible , that is don't use 100mm breadboard wires etc.
