is there any cheap way to a 3 v reference to power an lm358,opamp.

You can use a pot off the LM358 power supply and adjust it to give 3V output. Of course, the power supply must be regulated then.

You can also use a cheap TL431 along with 1 resistor and 1 variable resistor.

Hi tahmid,
i am using this method from a battery which will discharge towards 4v from 6v.is it ok to use tl431 here this case. I am doing an low voltage cut off ckt.
