3.3V to 80V amplification

Dear All,

I have to control a drive. It needs specific input signals: or . They will be generated digitally (uC or FPGA) with DAC. These signals have to have 0V up to 80V amplitude, ~650mA output current and 2kHz frequency.

I don't feel comfortable in analog design and I have never done anything like this before. Could you suggest me how to do it?
 

Output :80V 0.65A implies 52W average , 123 Ohms average is DC resistive load, otherwise you must specify.!!

Assume 80~90% efficiency unless extra effort, cost in selection of DC-DC design.

Assume input power = 60W @3.3V means 18.2A average and surge may be much higher if non R load, also in startup unless soft start design added.

3.3V/18.2A = 181 mOhms and that means supply impedance needs to be < few milliOHms inluding ESR of Cap and FET switches
This means higher cost components.

Expect, off the shelf unit DC-DC to be $1~2/W unless economy of scale with other common commercial designs, if any. (?)

Not A trivial solution. Make or Buy

I suggest Buy for you.

or change requirements
 

Purchase a class D audio amplifier.

Focus yourself on the details of synthesizing the waveforms
