I know that 2D Butler networks are typically implemented by interconnecting multiple 1D networks in an orthogonal way. The problem with this architecture is that the interconnected structure is not planar.
Is there a way to implement a 2D Butler network (for a 2D phase array) with a planar structure?
Thanks!!
