I want to connect my AVR (Atmega8/88) to the Internet using a ENC28J60. I've been looking around for libraries and found the one used in tuxgraphics' NTP clock (tuxgraphics.org: The Tuxgraphics AVR NTP clock) pretty useful. However, my ISP uses a manually assigned IP, Subnet and DNS to connect to the Internet. How do I set these parameters?

you need a TCP/IP stack for doing this, the ENC28J60 is just a ethernet transceiver, the stack accesses the ENC28J60 (using the SPI drivers), and access/ control the various registers in the ENC28J60.

Using the stack you can access the internet.

you can readily available stack for this , see this link EZ Web Lynx - Home.

Or you can see the microchip site, they offer a free version of their TCP/Ip stack, but you have to use a PIC for this
