I am designing an embedded system with multiple devices and am trying to make the clock/oscillator system as simple as possible. One of my devices I am going to run off of a 32Mhz clock around Vdd (3.55V). Another device also requires 32MHz but can only tolerate 1.8V.
Can I do this simply with a discrete transistor (more likely a pair) or something to that effect? There are devices out there that can do voltage translation at speeds far greater and this really isn't too fast. Size and cost are my most important constraints. Any advice? Thanks!
Either use a logic gate that can accept higher input voltage, e.g. 74LVC1G34, or a voltage divider as most simple solution. If necessary compensated fot the load capcitance. It will be preferably placed directly at the load.
