Hello,

I have a simple question. I have a Gigabit Ethernet port in my PC/system. Can i use it as 10 Gb/s port just by updating the MAC drivers ?

No. MAC and PHY must be designed for 10 Gbps.

10GBASE-T (10 GBPS ethernet over RJ45 cables) hardware is yet expensive. Unlikely to be found in a garden-variety PC.

You could always get an Asus 10g pci card like ASUS XG-C100C. That costs around 120 USD and uses cat6c cable.
