Ron Coff product determines how good a switch is. Lower the number is better will the switch be.

Looking at this number for a switch in a given technology, you can get an idea of how good is the technology.

Ron is insertion loss and Coff is isolation (@freq). Those are prime switch care-abouts.

in power FET, Ron is on-state resistance (source to drain), and Coff is off-state capacitance (source to drain).

Ron is inversely proportional to gate width W, and Coff is proportional to W - so their product is an important FOM (figure of merit), independent of gate width.
