MIL-STD-1553B

Please refer to the MIL STD for more information on Parity/Bit Parity. It is logically similar to RS-232, but utilizes three different 1553B words. This one uses the Manchester encoding. The parity is composed of anything that follow the sync pattern and before the parity bit (i.e. Bit Time 4-19, inclusive) for a given 1553B word.
