Hi All,

I need the procedure and theory(maths) to get the equivalent continuous-time impulse/frequency response of a digital iir filter.

To put the problem in other words,
I have the coefficients of the digital iir filter and need to identify the parameters for equivalent analog filter.

Also, the theory for mapping Z domain to S domain would be useful.

Please refer me to the appropriate book/link.

Thanks & Regards

Hi,

Discrete-Time Signal Processing, by Allen Oppenheim.
It has a complete section about digital filter design using continues filters.

Hi,

Thanks for your response.

But I was requesting for Continuous-time filter design from Digital filter and not viceversa.

The reference you have mentioned is for digital filter design using continuous-time filter.
