incident wave in HFSS

Hi,

I want to define an incident wave excitation in HFSS. but don't know what are the guidelines. for example when I create an incident wave exitation for a metal plate and choose boundary display it gives that the incident wave excitation is overridden by other boundaries. so does anyone has information regarding this subject?

thanks for listening
