17.2 cm antenna
Hi, all
I have 2 rfid device at 433 mhz using quarter wave length antenna. They are handheld devices of credit card size. The communication range is about 1.5 meters.
My problem now is to remove the 17.2 cm antenna and make a more compact antenna for them. I tried many forms of pcb antenna, such as semi-loop, loop, modified dipole, zigzag, microstrip antenna. But the communication range drops significantly.
Any thought on this, friend?

What i am building is an active tag for contact tracing. Size is a big problem. I understand that quarter wave length antenna may be the most efficient in my case. The bigger, the better really applies here. But i think there should be somebody using linx microstrip antenna somewhere for example.
