adding a Gerber or .art file into the board file

Hi All,

In allegro, Is it possible to add a Gerber or .art file into the board file?

Yes is possible.
Import>Artwork.

Yes, I did the same procedure, but i am not able to view the imported file.

According to Cadence only Cadence Allegro Artwork supported. Is Gerber you are trying to import is .art? Also to check to see which format is?

Is it RS274X or 6X00 and so on?

Then you should be able to import it by defining corresponding Classes and Subclasses.

If you still can not import it, try to Export the given Gerber file into DXF and then Import DXF into ALlegro.
