15 Feb 2007 8:43 question about LDO

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am now watching a schematic of integreted LDO

it is used to provide power for other blocks

I found that there is always a constant loading current (300uA)from LDO,
the current is from current generation blocks.

The dominate pole of this LDO loop is at the opamp output.

what is use of this additional branch of current?

To reduce the ouput resistance for more phase margin or
make LDO output more immune from the noise or other reason?

Thank you very much for your help.
