I was trying to simulate the phase noise effect in Zero-IF mixer
in ADS, and there are several problems,

1. the conversion gain of zero-IF mixer is decreasing with larger order of RF signal, so how many order harmonics for RF signal is correct?

2. phase noise seems uncorrect in zero-if mixer circuit

thanks

about the phase noise , do u use a real oscillator , or an oscillator in ads , with phase noise model

Hi khouly,

i try to use P1_tone component with specified phase noise in ads to simulate phase noise effect

i think about the order , make it the 5 th , i think there is no need to increase the ordr more

also check the RF system design guide u will find there example how to take the phase noise into account

and can u upload the project , and there are many ppl here can see it
