hi friends this site is very useful for me,,,,,,,,,,,,

in case of microprocessors generally dividing the clock frquency by two wwhy?
examle in 8085 we need only 3 Mhz clock but we r using a oscillator of 6 Mhz then dividing why?

becasue duration for execut in each operation is not be equal. some operation need two clock and some operation need one clock so when one instrution was execut there are alot of operation execut in parallel. that's why the operation that need only one clock must wait the operation that need two clock. that's why the internal clock of microprocessor must to divide by two.

Re: abt microprocessor

The internal workings of the ‘85 require clock with a 50% duty cycle, and division by 2 ensures that the clock signal has exactly 50% duty cycle (internally it is nonoverlapping two phase) ..

Re: abt microprocessor

bcoz clk frequency is half of crystal frequency

Re: abt microprocessor

hi all

its easy

that as known
some of it need two clock and others need one
for that some times you find that when you but an value it devided into 2

or less

try to use the double value
may it work

try and say hi ....
