How to take the print-outs from Linux OS?

hi
can any1 guide me in taking the print-outs from linux o.s.
it goes like this ----
i hav already configured to the printer , even the test page print is coming
if i take print out from text page (vi editor) then its coming but if i give print command from
.pdf file or u can say kghost view in linux then its not coming
wat is the problem?

some say tat v hav to configure the kghost view to the printer
wat is tat and if its correct how it is to be done?
plz guide me
