did anyone know how to replace a mechanical potentiomenter to a digital potentionmeter which put with P1, P2, P3 for speed controller. i could not find a IC which can support in this hot ground area. thanks very much.

Hi TipTop,
Everything you need to know can be found here:

and I think the best ones are 'Digital Potentiometers Replace Mechanical Potentiometers,' found here:
**broken link removed** and 'Upgrading from Mechanical Potentiometers to Digital Pots' found here:

Also microchip makes some easy to use spi digital pots. Search for mcp42xxx.

If you have any other questions, just ask. These things are quite easy to use.

Best wishes,
Robert

FIrst there are two kinds of DigiPot, volatile and non volatile memory. The first returns to his inicial state every time you turn off the power supply. The second has memory and when you turn on the power begins with his previous state.
There are single Digipot and DOubles.

at first, thanks very much for everyone here...but the main problem for me is the digital pot works only at digital area. it works under 5V dc. but the connection p1, p2, p3 are floating. i checked it can be floated about 75V. so i need isoloate it. but i don't have any idear to do this kind of isolation. does someone can give me an idear about this. thank you very much.
