We know that:
n = 120f/p ...... (1)
... where n is the synchronous speed of ac motor in RPM, f is power supply frequency, and p is the number of pole.
If we look at the right hand side (RHS) of equation (1), the unit is Hz or 1/s. Also, we know that the unit for n is RPM. If my opinion, the unit at RHS, i.e. Hz or 1/s, does not match RPM. Anyone could explain about this? Thanks.
