Beside netlist processing feature, GOF, Gates On the Fly, version 2.099 has verilog RTL debug capability built-in.
.Verilog RTL browser.
.List the design hierarchy.
.Colorize verilog code. Keywords, comments and nets.
.Double click on net to trace the driver or the net.
.Search function.

It doesn't do simulation. Current release can list design hierarchy and do net driver trace. The feature is like Verdi from Novas but limited. Verdi is very expensive while GOF is free.

GOF is in debug Netlist or RTL. For example, you have Synopsys VCS to run simulation, DC-compiler to synthesize the RTL to netlist. In this IC flow, you can use GOF to trace the RTL connectivity. And ECO fix a bug in netlist.
GOF V2.100 has RTL debug enhancement. Added line indexing and interface with waveform tool, GTKWave and Verdi.

Novas is better than these naive tools...IMHO

I like the word, "naive". NanDigits is still a garage company. To solve the problems is most important.
The RTL debug feature is a function to be good to have in GOF. Kind of naive now, but will grow up. The main features of GOF are the partial schematic and ECO functions which beat Novas' nECO and nSchema.
