anyway,actually my final year project is to design low cost optical power meter...can i use pin photodiode compared to photodiode..what is the advantage between them?any suggestion on the pin photodiode i can use?any reference?
if i use multi mode fiber optic ..how about the connectors to connect to pin photodiode..
any idea..or anywhere i can refer to..
and bout the wavelength of the optic source ,mean to say about the accuracy of optical power meter ..can i narrow down my scope to 850n?if i want to open my scope to 850n,1310nm and 1550nm ..is it possible..how bout the circuitry design..will it be complicated?any reference i can do on it..
pin photodiode operates as a voltage source as well a current source in response to the incident light in the wavelength range . The current measurement is preferred since the output current changes linearly with incident light power. The voltage output, however, changes logarithmically with incident light power..before i connect to PIC(built in a/d converter)..i need to do a receiver circuit is it?and beside that i need to amplify and filter the signal izzit..any reference on the circuitry design?
