project fingerprint matching download

sorry for late reply again.
first enhance the finger print image using basic enhancement techniques in matlab so that ur finger print is clean from noise and blur etc.
Then u can compute the eigen vector ..usa Principle component analysis PCA....
and then feed the value of this eigen vector to ur Back propagation network

hopefully it will help u

Swahlah, the enhancement part should be ok, but I'm not sure how to do the PCA part. Do you have any document of PCA or any other feature extraction methods?

What method do you use to authenticate the fingerprint? There are a lot of methods. You can download the fingerprint recognition handbook at EDAboard Ebook Upload/Download. Normally, there are few stages in fingerprint recognition. Image capturing, enhancement, feature extraction and matching. Now, I'm doing feature extracter and facing some problem how to detect the singular points. I'm using neural network to recognise the images.

there is a new good article in elektor electronis magazine 11-2005 about finger print detection and rutine and source code are available in elektor website. there is also hardware recomendation and circuit design.

I m working on same project .
If u want the HDL file then u can go like
m file---> Compiler through C file------> with HDL coder in matlab 7---

or the otherway with which i will do is

mfile ----->>>simulink model------->>>code composer studio----->>download on TMSC6000 DSP 6713 i m sure this will work

www.ti.com

How do you extract the features from the fingerprint image? Can you send the code or the algorithm for the feature extraction? I'm also doing this Fingerprint Recognition project, and I will use neural network to classify the fingerprint.

Rajani,

Maybe you can describe some info about your project, for example what method you want to use to match the fingerprint. There're many methods available. If you still haven't decided, you can refer to some papers about this topics. In EDAboard Ebook Upload/Download, there is a Handbook of Fingerprint Recognition, which I think is very helpful in such project.

Sorry for the late reply as I was busy with my mid- semester examination. I was planning to use back propagation algoritm for matching the fingerprints and extraction of features by PCA. My project is still in its intial state so any new suggestion would be welcomed.
In EDAboard Ebook Upload/Download, there is a Handbook of Fingerprint Recognition
And if someone could please mail me the Handbook of Fingerprint Recognition, it would be extremly helpful to me as the links givin in previous post are not working. Please reply fast as I need it urgently.
