Due to many MW chip manufacturers being bought out, then bought out again -- the simpler chips (gain blocks, etc) that are not used in cell phones are all getting discontinued.
In another year or two, it will become very hard indeed to breadboard a quick test circuit, unless you can snag some parts on ebay.
I just went to buy some AH322-S8G amps for a project, and i either had to buy a real of 2500 of them from mouser as a last-time buy (and wait many weeks), OR buy some from China on ebay.
this does not look too good. We consultants...are going to have to change the types of work we do in the future.
