Hi,

In case of folded cascode amplifier, if we have a PMOS load (on top of diffferential pair) , is it necessary to keep them in saturation for maximum gain? or we can keep the differential pair in saturation only?

What is a formula for the gain? How this gain will change if these current sources goes into linear?

If the current source goes to linear region then the output resistance for the curremt source will decrease and hence the gain will decrease. am I right?

MOst of time, you want to keep PMOS load in saturation to achieve high gain and reasonable input offset. If they are not, double check the gain and input offset.
