Hi everyone,

1.why resistor has added in source side in series termination what is the reason behind this ?? in cause if i added the termination resistor in receiver side (it will became as parallel termination ) what will happen in this circuit (for impedance matching purpose termination is added i know).
2.for parallel termination as i mention like that only termination resistor has changed from load to source side what will happen in the parallel termination ??
please reply for this queries .....any one

1) The driver see the line impedance and not the impedance at the end of the line. Thus driver output impedance should match the line impedance.
2) If the transmission line is long enough the input impedance should match the line impedance to avoid line refection. There is an application showing this here: **broken link removed**
