i having problem with 1307 IC while interfacing with 89s52 controller,

the problem was its not getting the value and not to write.

i had studied clearly about the ds1307IC, and i have the doubt in that, whether we need to define the SMOD, TCON, TMOD for the baud rate, while interfacing the RTC?

You might want to search for DS1307. There are 476 threads regarding this ic on this site.

nop u dont have to define SMOD, TMOD ... basically the DS1307 communication is based on I2C, so all you hav to do will be to write a routine that obeys this protocol. u can use just about any port pin that u so wish and if your hardware/software is sound then you'll hit the target. you can upload your design if you so wish...gud luk

thank you very much,

i tried and got the output for RTC 1307. and its now working finely..
