A consistent problem:

When I try to drop a via to a power plane, I get the message "Sketch must end near end of guide".
No amount of help files or internet searching has an answer for me anything remotely related to this message.

I've gone through everything...
Deleting planes, re-assigning planes. Split-mix to CAM and back.
The net assignment shows the correct setting, but it's as if there is no net assignment for the via to run with.
All the status info shows the net. I place the via and it shows graphically, but it will not complete the process without giving me the aforementioned error.

YIKES! I don't want to run traces for power connections. what's the point of power planes if you can't use them :)

Thanks
