Can any one help me to give simple program/ algoritham logic to read adc in PIN2 (bellow picture)
at 2v resolution in ac input (minimum step voltage = 2v in ac input , this should be detect PIC).
. 16f72 has only 8bit adc

With that setup assuming Vref is 5V you will get a resolution of (3000 + 10) / 10 * 5 / 255 = 5.9V Not 2V.

For code go to www.microchip.com or some PIC forum you can find using a search engine.

Good luck!

5.9 is nearly equal to 6 so reducing the 10K to its one third value (as needed) would bring things under control it seems.

Yes, true. It is applicable for Vref.
