ADC 0808 with 89c51 controller is it right?

we are using 0808 IC for AD conversion (with microcontroller of 89c51) but it is not responding precisely why?
 

Check your reference voltage if at the correct value if there is an error on binary equivalent readings.

you are trying to connect 0808 to the AT89c51 ok, which port used ?

and how u will see the o/p (over the serial port or seven segment, ..)

Can you give me more information about your design

So I can help you to find the problem
