Actually I am do my project on 3 phase bldc controller.
for gate driver I use HCPL-3180
2.5 Amp Output Current, High Speed, Gate Drive Optocoupler
and for mosfet I used FB180SA10
HEXFET® Power MOSFET
controller pic18f
my problem are:
1. circuit for gate driver (from PIC to HCPL-3180) and
2. circuit for mosfet (from HCPL-3180 to power mosfet)
3. the value of gate resistance
4. the snubber circuit and the value of snubber resistance and capacitance.

1. circuit for gate driver (from PIC to HCPL-3180) and

There is no gate, it is like an optocoupler, you drive the diode.
you can drive the HCPL-3180 with a resistor directly or you can use use a small transistor, the input diode needs 10-16ma,
the forward voltage of the diode is typically 1.5v (1.2v-1.8v) according to the datasheet.

3. the value of gate resistance

The output is specified to 2Amp, i don;t think you need a resistance or you can use a small one a few ohms.

1. I already tried connect the HCPL-3180 like in this figure

but when test this circuit, the gate drive become overheat, and finally it become short between supply Vcc and output Vo
the supply for output is from an adapter 12V, 1A.

2. and if you have the information about design and calculation of snubber circuit, can I know about it.
thank you

vo pins 6,7 has no resistive or inductive load applied to it
only RC

so the internal chips transistor will go into thermal runaway

you MUST apply a load or shunt for current

you need even to add a zobial load

say a 1k res to ground ... will be enough

your design is bland and just as the datasheet
never trust a datasheet to show the need for obvious load requirements

ok thank you, I will try it later on
the other question is, where I can purchase this HCPL-3180 with just a small purchasing number (about ten only)
can any of you give the link or place to buy it.
now I currently stay at skudai, Johor

Pull up resistor
1. For commutation BLDC I used hall sensors
so it need the pull up resistor at hall sensor output.
so how the connection of the pullup resistor with hall sensor output, and also the value of the resistor
