I would like to build a unit that works as follows.

Two devices are plugged into the unit (devices and unit run off 110V AC).

When device A is turned on, the unit will detect the current flow and automatically turn on device B. Like wise, when device A is turned off, the unit will turn device B off as well.

Please note that both devices are high current devices (approx 10 to 12 amps). I would like to do this via a solid state design if I can avoid using relays.

I appreciate the help.

Thank you, but I am a novice and need a schematic on how to build the circuit. Your help is greatly appreciated.
