We ran 19 hole punched paperthrough our HP LaserJet 6 and it got stuck. We were able to pull the paper out through the paper path but a small piece seems to be left behind. Now every time we try to print there is a paper jam. We can't see any paper sticking out so we are thinking we must dis-assemble the unit to get at it.

Does anyone have any info on hoiw we can do this ourselves?

Unscrew the 2 screws on the top (accessed by opening the toner door) and the 3 at the back.

Then you need 15 pairs of hands to unclip & lift the cover off.

The rest is just common sense in removing what you can to get at it, its in there somewhere...

The front is a bear if the paper is stuck there. Both side panels need to come off and the 8 or so screws in front. Unhook the connectors that go to the paper sensor and paper feed coil and your almost there.
