hi guys im new to this forum and would like some advice for my electrical engineering college project. heres some background... i am currently making a counter that is driver by a light sensor and displays on a 7 segement display.i have built the 4 bit binary counter from 4 JK flip flops (7476 chips) and it works i am going to make a light sensor with a light dependant resistor soon

i have quite a clear idea of what to do but i was just wondering if there is a particular type of 7 segment display i would need?

also what type of binary to 7 segment display converter chip would i need.

thanks, scott
