I apologize if this is the wrong forum for this kind of question, but I'm having trouble finding info on this.

I want to put together what is basically a variable speed turntable (the actual use is for a 'dream machine' - history here if you are interested https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dreamachine). I think that it may be doable using the three following items, but I'm hoping that you fine folks can let me know whether they will work together properly and that it won't damage anything or be dangerous.

Here is what I'm thinking:

Voltage controller
https://www.amazon.com/Linemaster-980-SC3-Rating-receptacle-Variable/dp/B002P4XRCC

into DC power supply
https://www.summitsource.com/product_info.php?ref=1&products_id=8735

which powers a motor with a turntable on it

My electronics knowledge is limited. One thing I wonder is whether varying the AC voltage of the first part will yield a varied DC voltage in the second part, which is how I'm hoping to vary the speed of the turntable. Ideally, I would just have one foot pedal that received AC wall power and output variable DC voltage from 24V down, but I can't find such a thing.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Kyle

The set that you've proposed won't work ..

What you need though is a 24Vdc power supply (24Vdc@100mA, the table-motor is rated for 24Vdc@60mA, so 100mA will do) and a circuit that takes 24Vdc and outputs 0-24Vdc ..

Here is an example of such a circuit:

As you can see there is a potentiometer that allows to change the speed, so look for a pedal controller with a built-in potentiometer (10kΩ) ..
