Hi guys,

Have some questions here. Nothing design related but general ones. Is it a good field to pursue a research career for example as a research associate/PhD. How important is this field going to be in near future vis-a-vis normal analog design which is more application specific currently. What are the possible uses , applications of such a device in lab, industry or other environments. There seems to be very less number of people working on this field and I cant possibly figure out potential uses for FPAAs since analog design in more application specific and custom. More or less analog design deals with implementing new architectures and new design techniques which can be hardly be implemented in FPAAs (Am I right). All suggestions/discussions are welcome

Thanks
