tail probability

hi all,
can anyone tell me what is the tail probability?
thank you

tail area probability

I'm assuming you're talking about a bell curve or a normal distribution function. The tail probability is the area under a specific portion of the curve where the limits are: (a,infinity) OR (-infinity,b)
where a is to the right of the mean (expected value) and b is to the left of the mean.

left tail probability

thanks, Kral and ehab_kgb.
if the tail probability is the area of the curve , when the limit area is (a,infinity), and when is (-infinity,b) ?
is it connect with P{x>=X} and P{x<=X}?
