Hi,

How does shielding actually help to reduce capacitative coupling? Is there some derivation for the effects of capacitative coupling to signal?

Thanks

The unwanted noise signal is capacitively coupled down to earth

Often the ac signal line is covered with ground lines from all sides. This terminates all the electric field lines either from the ac line or from the other intimidating periferals and therefore the ac line is shielded froom the external noise

i once build a sensor which was sending the data via wireless module
i forgot to shiled it properly from the RF signal ,

which was my mistake and sensor became unstable

it took much time to figured out this

and then the proper shielding of the equipment helped over come the entering of the RF energy in the sensor

so it is indeed prime responsibility to make sure the proper shielding and grounding

If u read the following attachment ...........
U will have some idea of that
