How to add a new Technology layer?

Layout Tool: Virtuoso
Problem: How to add a new Technology layer? I want to add a new Stream number or layer number.
Can it be done in LSW window?

in the LSW, click Edit > Set Valid Layers..
set the layers you want to be valid...

Hi,

You can create a new layer and add it in Technology File. Then assign a purpose (drawing/pin/slot/dummy), packet(color, fill style, fill pattern, line style information) and stream no --- which is unique or with unique data type. Then source this new technology file through Technology File Manager and you can see your new layer in the LSW. Later on you can edit this layer through Dispaly Resource Editor.

If you want to create a new layer, please in CIW, to select tools-> Technology File Manager-> Edit Layers. Then click "Add ..."
 

You can create a new layer in two means.......
1. click tools-> Technology File Manager-> Edit Layers....
2. you can modify the TF file directly and save it
