Hi every body,
I have designed a 10 bits DAC with cadence schematics, and I want to obtain its INL and DNL. How can I do this quickly?? is it possible with Cadence or Do I need To use other software???

thanks a lot for your help.

You need to apply digital input one by one (10'd0~10'd1023) and get each analog output voltage for each input code.

Then, you can calculate INL and DNL.

But it takes long time.

Yibin.

Hi Yibin,

as u said it will take a lot of time doing this like this,I saw some article where there plot directly INL and DNL. But don't know how they do. There is a quicker way to do that???

thks

most often they dont calculate the DNL for each value but they find the value of the two extremities and take the average to find DNL.....
